Gold Hill Vineyard & Brewery
El Dorado County's newest premium micro brewery is located on premise at Gold Hill Winery on Cold Springs Rd. one mile from historic Coloma. Brewmaster Ed Roediger is producing world class ales - Gold Trail Pale Ale, 49er Red Ale, Axe Pic'n Oatmeal Stout, Old Miners Scotch Ale and a seasonal Holiday Ale. All are available to taste in their tasting room and for purchase by the pint.
Jack Russell Brewing Company
Jack Russell Brewing Company is situated on a small farm in the Apple Hill region of Northern California, named for its apple, pear and stone fruit orchards, and its berry patches and Christmas tree farms. Nestled in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada mountains, Jack Russell Brewery has their own grain and hop fields which are harvested and used to brew their beers. The brewery is modeled after the English "Farm Breweries" ( like a California Estate Winery, except with beer) and they put out some very tasty British style beers (among others).
Boeger Winery
In its three decades, Boeger Winery has remained committed to only one standard - quality. You'll taste this in their wines. The winery grows 90 percent of their own grapes and has stayed small enough to allow full attention to the details of winemaking. Boeger pushes the boundaries of winemaking as well, producing Merlot, when it was virtually unheard of in California. Today Boeger pioneers innovative blends and brings new and uncommon varietals to the market place.
